The VI Caspian Summit is scheduled for June 29 in Ashgabat. It will be preceded by a meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caspian littoral states, where the chief diplomats of the five countries will once again discuss the agenda of the leaders' meeting.
On Wednesday, Sergey Lavrov's participation in the media in the Turkmen capital was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
At the briefing, she noted that the previous similar meeting of ministers was held in Aktau (Kazakhstan) on August 11, 2018 on the eve of the V Caspian Summit, at which a historic document was signed – the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea.
It is planned to review cooperation in the Caspian Sea at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ashgabat and discuss modalities for further cooperation in preparation for the upcoming meeting of the presidents of the Caspian Five.
